From Australia:a little princess, much loved and adored

After years of failed infertility treatment, success and a beautiful baby girl...

Having just celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary, our very long journey began eight years ago.   With repeat miscarriages and failed IVF attempts, we refused to give up on our dream of becoming parents.  We investigated many avenues and we decided that surrogacy was our best option and that SCI was our first preference.  For us spiritually it felt right to choose an Indian surrogate.

SCI also provided egg donor profiles and happy with this we chose a donor whose profile suited us.  We were all set to go pretty much straight away when our donor was delayed due to her study commitments.  Happy to wait for her and not opt for another donor, Maurice travelled to India in early May 2013.  The hospitality of the Indian people, SCI’s world class staff and facilities, the brilliant Dr Shivani and the wonderful driver Rahul and his team organised by SCI,  left a very positive and lasting impression on Maurice.  This week would not only be life changing for Maurice, it would be life creating for us as a family.

Almost one year later, we were set to fly out to New Delhi on the 30th of April in anticipation of our baby’s expected arrival on the 9thof May.  Our first round of embryo transfers with two surrogates failed and this second time due to the ever changing laws, Dipkami was our sole surrogate.    Dipkami was now pregnant with our baby and we were thrilled to be on our way to meet them both!

However, this was to be sooner than we expected as on the 17th of April we received an email that due to concerns with the baby having a double nuchal chord, our baby daughter had been delivered!  That was Good Friday, we were on a plane Easter Monday!  Our beautiful, healthy Quintessa Grace was born a day short of 37 weeks.  Quintessa was quite jaundiced and as a result stayed in hospital under photo therapy lights until it started to clear.  Quite symbolically for us as Australians, Quintessa came home to the hotel with us on Anzac Day April the 25th.  The care she received from the doctors and nurses at Eden hospital was not only world class but was combined with the wisdom and nurturing of the Indian culture and spirituality.

We were very happy and relieved that our wonderful surrogate Dipkami was recovering well and were thrilled to meet both she and her husband.  We gave them gifts to thank them and in the absence of a common language,  our display of emotions being universal were felt and understood.  That said no words would ever convey our sheer gratitude to Dipkami and absolute joy that she was healthy and well.  Dr Shivani was also there to congratulate us and it was wonderful to thank her and recognise her for all her hard work.

Also through SCI we engaged the services of Poonam Jain of Prime Air Global Ltd, who organised our documents for FRRO ensuring a swift turnaround with our visas.  Our dealings with FRRO, The Australian High Commission and Australian Passports Office were all pleasant and easy.

From the time we arrived in New Delhi to the day we departed (a little over three weeks), we felt genuine support and care from by the SCI Team.  There was never a moment that we felt alone or that we could not call them for assistance or advice.  As first time parents in a foreign country, the importance of this cannot be emphasised enough.

We have been home now for a little over six weeks and have settled into our daily life.  Quintessa is developing as we would hope, with her weight and growth going forward in leaps and bounds.  Her feeding and sleeping routines are like clockwork, we feel truly blessed as so far she is a healthy, easy baby.  Quintessa is now smiling and cooing, she is an absolute delight and we are completely smitten!  Our families cannot get enough of their little princess and she is very loved and adored.

Thanks to SCI our dream of having a family has been realised and we hope to return to India in the near future so that Quintessa can see the magical land in which she was born.

Yours Sincerely and Forever Grateful,

Maurice, Angelique and Quintessa

From the USA: A Big Thank You

Another family returns home, babies well loved by their parents, grandparents, family, and friends

Dear Dr Shivani and SCI team
We are very grateful for your help in making our family a reality.

We appreciate the excellent SCI staff (Meg, Margarida, Neha, Yogita, Jyoti, Lalit, Rachna, and Nabanita) who were there for us when we needed their assistance. Thank you as well for arranging the meeting with our dear surrogate (SS) last week. We were quite happy to see her in person to thank her for what she did for us.

The twins are doing well and gaining weight as expected. They are enjoying their time interacting with their grandparents, family, and friends. We will come back to India someday so that the twins experience part of their heritage, and hopefully meet the special people that helped bring them into this world.

With Love
M, S, T & S

From Australia :a baby boy & feedback from a happy family

Another family completed after years of unsuccessful IVF treatment ...

We could not be more happy than we are right now with the birth of our beautiful baby boy.

After many many years of IVF treatments (we think we hold the world record) we decided to come to the conclusion that we would never become parents and that was a really hard decision for us both to make.

Until we heard about SCI and started investigating the possibility of becoming parents. Every step of the way, the information and feedback was amazing. Meg & Margarida with there resource of information was reassuring and so helpful, we will always be enternally gratefull for helping us make the decison to pursue our dream finally.

To Dr Schivani, thank you. The first time we meet you we knew that we had made the right decision. The wonderful team  at SCI for always being there for us

The most important person in the birth of our child was our dear surrogate who will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Thanking You.

The Happiest Australian Couple.

We wish this family the choicest of blessings and years of joy and happiness.

From Australia : the road to our babies...

Sometimes the photo is enough...

My husband and I were married in 2004 and thought like every other couple that a baby would come into our lives as a lovely surprise not long after. We waited and hoped and after a year realised something wasn't right. Fast forward 8 years - and following 13 failed and tortuous rounds of IVF and an adoption application that seemed like a road to nowhere - we arrived at SCI, with very little hope left that we would ever become parents.

To our amazement, we had success in our first attempt with a surrogate and are now the happy - but tired! - parents of twin boys Leo and Noah. We are so grateful for the professional support of Dr Shivani and the SCI team - including their warmth and responsiveness to all of our questions along the way.

And of-course, we will always be indebted to our wonderful surrogate who carried our boys who came into the world so healthy and beautiful.

Sending warm regards from
Karim, Arielle, Leo and Noah -
 NAMASTE and THANK-YOU!

From Scotland : A wee bonnie lass

Another SCI family completed after a long journey of infertility and trying everything else

Dear SCI,
It is difficult to put into words the feelings of thanks we have to Dr Shivani and all her team for making our dream come true with the birth of our beautiful daughter Emilia. She has settled well into her life in Scotland but she is also the source of many fond memories from our time in Delhi. The culture, the warmth of the people and the many experiences also made it unforgettable and we would love to return.
We would also like to say how amazing the clinic were in dealing with us from day one and for patiently taking an interest in every stage of our journey. Their referral to Poonam and recommendation to use the excellent nurses (special mention to Ruth and Anila) was invaluable.

With best wishes from Scotland,

Neil, Cat and Emilia xxx

Scottish clients are always close to Dr. Shivani's heart as she reiminses with them over familiar places and favourite haunts from her time in Scotland as a gynecologist and obstetrician at Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

From Australia: a boy

Another family, another rocky road of infertility to travel, with the most welcoming of outcomes...

Dear Dr Shivani, Meg, Margarita and the Staff at SCI,
The birth of our lovely boy Taj, on 10th November has been a miracle and a dream we never want to wake from.

Our path has been a very rocky road like many other clients of SCI. We have participated in another surrogacy program in past years but was unsuccessful.     The addition of Taj has had an enormous effect on our family and friends. Everyone who holds him loves him dearly.

The team at SCI go about their business in a professional manner. Waiting for the monthly scans and reports was made easier by the regular updates we received.

Thankyou to everyone at SCI for bringing us a future. We have felt our lives have been 'on hold' for many years until now.

We would like to express our gratitude also to the Indian Government & Authorities for allowing this to occur.
Greg, Lyn & Taj - Australia

We wish this family the choicest of blessing and wish them many years of love, laughter and happiness.

From Australia : a sibling project and a family completed

In March, 2011 this family, after facing the many difficulties with infertility decided to put their faith in surrogacy, now at the beginning of 2013, they are the proud parents of two beautiful SCI babies.

Our family is now complete. We have been blessed with the birth of our second daughter Caitlin - a little sister for Evy. It is amazing to think that our whole journey with SCI only started in March 2011 and now we have two lovely girls to share our life with. (more amazing Is that both girls share the same birthday .. only a year apart!)

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr Shivani for her positivity and compassion, the nurses at Eden for their great care of Caitlin (born almost 5 weeks early) and the ever helpful staff of SCI. Rachna and Meenu have assisted us to their utmost and seeing the friendly faces of Rahul's Taxi service when we needed help made everything flow smoothly. Mr Jaggi of Tulip apartments provided us with a comfortable and convenient home for our stay and Ms Poonam Jain expertly handled our exit process. Our final and most grateful thanks goes to our lovely surrogate whose willingness made Caitlin's life possible.

As our lives move on and we return to our home, our beginnings in Delhi will always be remembered.
Thank you SCI,

from Sander, Fiona, Evy and Caitlin

We wish this family the choicest of blessings and lives filled with light and laughter.

From the UK: dreams coming true with our baby boy

After many years on the infertility treadmill, many of our families know a miracle when they see one. Meet one such family...

"Our miracle baby, Jai, came into our family on Nov 16th and our lives changed forever. After much heartache and hardship, we came to see Dr. Shivani in the hope that we too could one day have the child that we have yearned for.

Our journey started in February 2012 and in November we came to Delhi to be present at the much awaited birth of our child. We will never forget that precious moment when the doctor came in to tell us that we have a healthy baby boy. Jai is everything we dreamed of and more. He's made us complete. We've finally become mummy and daddy.

Miracles can happen, it's happened for us.....it can happen for you.

We look forward to the years ahead as Jai grows, develops and becomes a respectable gentleman in his own right.

Thank you Dr. Shivani and all the team at SCI who made our dream come true. Thank you to our surrogate who will always have a special, respected place in our hearts.

Jazz & Harj. UK."

From the U.S :- a handsome chap

The best of Christmas blessings, a handsome chap to complete this family. Congratulations Greg & Lewis, may the coming years bring you much joy, laughter and happiness.

We knew this wasn't going to be the easiest thing in the world to do,
but that has never stopped us before. After 21 years together, we
decided that it was high time to start a family. We thought (and
fough)t about adoption. We tried luring a wayward niece to come live
with us to no avail.

We knew something was really missing in our lives. Our good friends in
San Francisco suggested we contact SCI Healthcare. They had a
beautiful baby girl and by all accounts was just perfect.

Nine months ago we arrived in Delhi- shell shocked from the flight,
but ready to start the process. The first try with frozen sperm was
unsuccessful. Dr. Shivani suggested we come back for a live transfer.
We did to great success.

The months passed quicker than I had expected and we once again found
ourselves in Delhi and in the capable hands of SCI. Our baby was
actually born while we were in the air. When we arrived at the
nursery, we looked around and spotted the most beautiful little baby
boy. I know that was ours.

Due to a delay, we had to stay in India a little longer than planned,
but now that we are home, everything is A-OK. Our little boy is happy,
healthy and a handful.

For those of you thinking of doing this, I can tell you their success
rate is very high. I would also suggest that you stay in the nicest
hotels as possible if you are used to nice hotels when traveling. The
Leela Palace, The Frasier Suites (apartments) and the Lalit were
standouts. It helps that there is a very quiet place to go home to,
where the food is excellent and the amenities are many.

Also, DO opt for the nurse program. For about $38US per day you get
round the clock care. This was vital for us as our nurse taught us so
much. (We miss her!!!!)

Thank you Dr. Shivani and your entire staff. While things did not go
100% as planned in our over-organized American minds, in the end, it
was perfect.

Introducing our best Christmas gift ever:
JAPER KALMBACH OTT
Born November 19, 2012
7lbs. 22"

All the best, Lewis and Greg

From Europe: low ovarian reserve and twins!

One of the challenges faced by many parents is the dreaded low ovarian reserve and whether to try with a self cycle or move on to donor eggs.

At SCI, we always want people to be aware of all the factors that will likely impact on their chances of success so that they can make an informed decision on the best way forward for their family.

This family, after years of infertility treatment in their home country, wanted one last try with their eggs...

Dear Dr. Shivani, dearest M., SCI Healthcare Team, Meg and Margarida, Doctors and Nurses at Eden Hospital and Mariamma’s Nanny-team!

We are the happiest people in the woooooooooooorld!!!!!

Somos feliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiizes!

Our twin babies were born at the end of October here in Delhi and we want to thank you all from our hearts to have helped make this possible by your work and dedication!

The two have made their way into our hearts so quickly and deeply – they are the most wonderful creatures – and already have such distinct personality!

We are impressed by how well and professional and prompt your clinic and organisation is working.

We would like to mention that I am a lady with “low ovarian reserve”, according to my AMH and Estrogen levels. Dr. Shivani suggested to us to have an egg donor - but we insisted to try with my eggs.

We decided to have faith in my eggs despite the numbers and statistics – after all you only need 1 good embryo to get pregnant!

Dr. Shivani did a very good job with the delicate “egg-growing” inside my ovaries. We know this process is rather based on experience and intuition than on science. The laboratory team fertilized and groomed them well.

We got pregnant in the first attempt and now our boy and girl are here!!! Thanks to our dearest surrogate mother, and the expertise of the Dr. Shivani and the laboratory team!

We would also like to mention the communication; it is vital during these 9 months when intended parents are far away. We never had to wait for an answer from you more than half a day and we could even write to you when we were worried about something non medical and would always get an intelligent, helpful and emphatic answer.

After the birth of the babies at Eden hospital, with the doctors and nurses there – and the team of nannies connected with SCI we have always felt in the best hands. The crib and baby bath tub that you lend parents for the time in India is a very helpful indeed,

A blessed and happy couple!

We wish this family the choicest of blessings in the future.

From Australia : a beautiful bundle...

As with many of our families, this family spent years struggling with infertility and further years looking into adoption.

We are pleased to say that their journey is finally at an end, another SCI family completed.

Happy Family

We recently were lucky enough to have been blessed by the birth of 2 beautiful perfect baby girls (no bias at all). Words cannot express how thankful we are to Dr Shivani and her amazing team. From the admin staff all the way through to the paediatricians and wonderful nurses who cared for our babies when they were born.

After years of disappointment trying natural pregnancies / IVF cycles / adoption courses etc etc etc, our surrogacy experience was the total opposite.

At present we are sitting in the Svelte hotel, surrounded by a host of new families, all made possible by SCI. We find ourselves sneaking into the babies room to catch a glimpse of them when they are sleeping and we pinch ourselves everytime.

A special mention to our surrogate who has made all our dreams come true and kept our babies healthy and safe.

We can not thank everyone enough
