From the U.S : a bundle of twins

Another blessing, another family completed with the help of Dr. Shivani and SCI...

Satish and I opened our hearts and we let that force flow thru us and it has indeed created the most awe-inspiring event … the realization of our dream!

It is with great joy, profound humility for the gifts that we have received and a love that can never be put into words that we proudly share with you the birth of our son and daughter.

Aditya Grayson James S (@ 9:25AM) and Sahana Emery Rose S (9:24AM) were born in Delhi India on Monday, October 5, 2015. Aditya weighs 6 pounds 3 ounces and is 18.9 inches long. Sahana is 5 pounds 5 ounces and is 17.9 inches long.

We are thankful to Dr. Shivani, the entire staff at SCI Healthcare, ISIS Clinic and Eden Hospital for all of their efforts and support in helping us reach this day. You will always have a special place in our hearts. The work that you do is visible around the world thru the families that you have helped to create. To our surrogate … we thank you from the bottom of our heart but for you our heart has no bottom.

Satish, Michele, Aditya and Sahana will be in India for 2 weeks securing U.S. Passports and travel documents for the Rama Twins and spending time with family before traveling back to San Francisco. They will be welcomed home by Michele’s Mom (who will be called Nani, Hindi for maternal grandmother) and Chaya, both of whom are anxiously waiting to meet the new additions to the family.

Aditya and Sahana's astrological sign is Libra. On 10/5 in 1962 Dr. No was released, in 1970 PBS was founded and in 1975 Kate Winslet was born (this is a fun fact for Michele since Titanic is one of her favorite movies!)

From Australia: two beautiful princesses ...

 Much loved and wanted children ....

10 weeks ago and now... they grow quickly

an enormous thankyou for sticking by us over the past few years and for delivering to us, Jemimah and Audrey, are prized possessions.

As you will recall, there were times along the way we seriously questioned whether fate had chosen for us a future without children. This of course was not acceptable to Dr Shavani. It was therefore your relentless faith, positive reinforcement and generosity we hung in there and are now blessed our two adorable (slightly biased!).

We have heard experiences of other couples accessing surrogacy in India, Thailand and the USA and are so grateful in our decision to choose and remain with SCI Healthcare. None of these couples had anywhere close to the direct relationship with their doctor(s) which we enjoyed with Dr Shavani or a standby support team in the wings. In this regard, we would specifically like to highlight and thank Jyoti, Nabanita and Lalit – we are still amazed with how promptly and compressively they were always able to respond of our endless questions.

And of course shone of this would have occurred without our wonderful surrogate, Namita to whom Audrey's shares her middle name. We look forward to staying in touch with Namita, through SCI.

We have now been back in Australia almost 2 1/2 months and we are absolutely cherishing every day with our beautiful daughters and can't imagine our lives without them.

From Canada: Thank you from the bottom of our hearts

It is always wonderful when a family finally succeeds, more so, after 10 years of failed fertility treatment in their home country. What wonderful joy, a boy and a new Canadian...

  There is no way to say thank you enough to everyone at SCI and we cannot even begin to express how grateful we are to our beautiful surrogate mother. After nearly ten years of trying and multiple IVF attempts back home in Canada, you have given us the greatest gift we could have ever hoped for - a beautiful baby boy! The joy that that you have brought to this new family is immeasurable. The best decision we ever made was to choose Dr. Shivani and her team at SCI. 

  The day that we received word that we were pregnant was really beyond words. Throughout the entire pregnancy we felt that we had the undivided attention of the support staff at all times, answering any questions promptly and letting us know that our surrogate and baby were under the best of care. The support continued as we arrived in India and were helped with finding a taxi service, a nursing agency and even someone to help us with all the paperwork involved in the complicated exit process. 

  Being new parents in a foreign country was definitely not without surprises, stresses and challenges but we will always look back and smile at these weeks when our family was brand new.

Our surrogates: There is no elevator to success -one has to take the stairs

 Another story about a women who took control of her life and made some informed decisions...

We are feeling very proud being able to share Anjali's story. 

Anjali has changed her husband and children’s life after surrogacy and is very proud to be able to have done so. Before surrogacy, Anjali's children were not going to school. Now Anjali's 6 years old daughter and 4 years old son go to school!

 Anjali’s husband was working as a bus conductor; with poor opportunity for advancement and the added burden that her husband was only working person in the family. Through some of the compensation received through doing surrogacy, Anjali was able to buy a second hand car for her husband so that he can work independently.

Anjali decided to help another family with a selfless gift that no amount of compensation can ever make up for. This mindful women made a decision that changed the lives of both her family and that of a family across the globe. Anjali's children are attending school; her husband self employed and Anjali will be part of an amazing birth story, honoured forever in it's retelling.

From Australia: a gorgeous baby girl...

We are always delighted when families take time out to write an update for us and reflect honestly on their journey with SCI...

Our beautiful daughter was born 3 weeks early and It took quite a few weeks for the bond between us to form as might be expected, though I struggled with that fact.

In Delhi after the birth is where I think support could do with some improvement. We had this baby but no real support and it was frightening.  There is much emphases on the actual conception and birth but none for post natal care. Thank the stars for the Nurses recommended by SCI as they were priceless. They are experienced and calmly deal with the stressed out anxious new parents. The older nurse we first had gave us a list of what she required to do her job and many hints and tips for the baby.  

The area around SCI is very well equipped for all the baby needs. The taxi drivers recommended know where all the locations are that we need for legal matters so it eases the pressure.

We could not take Alexa out with us to do our daily chores and legal paperwork as it was over 40 degrees C every day and not much relief at night. Here is where a lady called Poonam Jain was a Godsend . This lady has a once off fee for dealing with obtaining citizenship and getting the all important passport for the baby. Her staff come to your accommodation with all the paperwork to sign, photographer etc. 

The only legals we had to do was go and collect the passport and go to the FRO (Foreign Relations Office) to get the exit visa from India. The FRO is a scary place but even her Poonam gave clear instructions and I followed them to the end and had NO trouble here. In fact I was even offered coffee by the intimidating senior inspector which I consider a coup.

We cannot thank Dr Shivani and the team enough for their help and support during that journey.

And lastly  one could ask … would I do it now that I have been through it?  Yes in a heartbeat. Every time I look at my beautiful smiley happy girl, I thank the surrogate mother  too who gave up nine months to make it possible,

From Australia: a dream come true with the arrival of a son.

As with many of our families, this one has struggled with many years of battling infertility. All of us at SCI are privileged to be part of this happy ending...

"Dear Dr Shivani and all staff at SCI

After a miscarriage and three years of failed IVF attempts my husband and I never thought our dream of having a family would come true.  I just couldn't imagine a life without a child, it felt so empty.  My girlfriend mentioned surrogacy - something that I thought was only achievable by the rich and famous.

Not knowing where to start I emailed a few clinics in India and received an immediate response from SCI.  From there I couldn't believe how fast things moved. Within five weeks we were in India meeting the lovely Dr Shivani and her professional team.  Less than nine months later we were back in Delhi holding our gorgeous wee boy, Tanu in our arms.  I still cant believe how lucky we are and our dreams wouldn't have come true without SCI and our lovely surrogate Renuka.

From Scotland : A wee bonnie lass

Another SCI family completed after a long journey of infertility and trying everything else

Dear SCI,

It is difficult to put into words the feelings of thanks we have to Dr Shivani and all her team for making our dream come true with the birth of our beautiful daughter Emilia. She has settled well into her life in Scotland but she is also the source of many fond memories from our time in Delhi. The culture, the warmth of the people and the many experiences also made it unforgettable and we would love to return.

We would also like to say how amazing the clinic were in dealing with us from day one and for patiently taking an interest in every stage of our journey. Their referral to Poonam and recommendation to use the excellent nurses (special mention to Ruth and Anila) was invaluable.

From Norway: Twins- what beautiful eyes...

Truls only wish was to become a father and through SCI, his dreams came true with the birth of Signe & Christian in early November.

"November 6th a dream came true, and I became a dad to twins!! A girl and a boy, and
their names are Signe Elvine and Christian Leander! My feelings are hard to put words on, but
I feel so blessed and happy:) The children are just adorable and healthy!

I have so many to thank thru the SCI. First of all, thank you dr. Shivani for your professional treatment.

I will also of course send my blessings to the wonderful surrogate and her family.
Thank you to all the staff at SCI that I`ve been emailing with. You have always
