Sending Embryos & Sperm to Delhi - no problem, no issues, no country wide ban!

I have received a number of emails asking for clarification on the issue of a supposed ban on transferring embryos & sperm to India.

I can categorically state that there is no ban across India. We at SCI have and continue to receive both samples of sperm and embryos. In the last few weeks we have received both embryos and sperm couriered with the assistance of two companies from the U.S.A, Canada and Australia.

Again there is no country wide ban.

It is our understanding that there have been some issues with entry into Mumbai and a 'entry tax'. From the courier companies that we work with, they have stated that this has caused a number of issues for both IP's and the courier companies. Until this issue is resolved most courier companies are choosing not to go to Mumbai.

In the last three months we have been receiving almost weekly shipments from around the world, with many couples now sucessfully pregnant. We are planning to receive many more cyro shipping containers in the coming months.

If you beleive that we can assist you, please feel free to contact us.

  1. Which cyro shipping company do you recommend using in the usa , which company do you normal deal with I'm in Florida. Can you post name and or web site of the company .

  2. Try Core Cryolabs or Medair, both are based in canada and both ship successfully to our clinic.

  3. How about shipping frozen embryos from Istanbul, is it possible too?
